White Moonstone Bracelet — Ice-Grade Natural Stone, Choose Your Bead Size
This is ice-grade white moonstone — the "ice" designation refers to the clarity of the base stone. In lower-grade moonstone, the body is hazy or milky, which dulls the adularescence. In ice-grade material, the base is clear or near-clear, so the shimmer reads as a clean blue-white glow against a transparent background rather than a vague brightness in cloudy stone. White moonstone is the most classic form — the contrast between the clear body and drifting blue light is about as good as this gemstone gets.
8mm vs 10mm
An 8mm bead bracelet sits flatter on the wrist and stacks well with other pieces. A 10mm bracelet has more presence — each bead is visible individually, and it reads as a statement on its own. On a narrower wrist, 10mm can feel chunky; on a larger wrist, 8mm can disappear. If you stack bracelets, go 8mm. If this is wearing alone, 10mm gives you more of the stone.
Moonstone and the Lunar Tradition
Moonstone has been worn in connection with lunar cycles since at least Roman times — Roman jewelers believed it was solidified moonlight. Hindu tradition held it sacred, associated with the moon god Chandra. In contemporary crystal practice, white moonstone is associated with new beginnings and emotional balance. These are cultural associations built over centuries — part of why the stone has remained in continuous use while other gem fashions have come and gone.
