Mini Ghau Box Pendant Necklace — Agate & Chalcedony Prayer Container
These are miniature pendant necklaces shaped like traditional Tibetan Ghau boxes — small, hinged containers that open to reveal a hollow interior. You can add a drop of perfume, essential oil, or just wear them closed. Each shape has its own character: the bag is rounded, the barrel is clean-lined, the gourd curves, the Guanyin vase tapers, and the money bag has a gathered top.
Made from agate or chalcedony — natural stones with translucent, warm tones. The hinged lid clicks shut. The pendant hangs from a simple chain. Five shapes, all small enough to sit comfortably against the chest.
What Is a Ghau Box
In Tibetan Buddhism, a Ghau is a portable prayer container — worn on the body, carried on journeys, placed on altars. Traditionally it holds a small prayer scroll, a grain of rice, or a sacred object. This version borrows the form and makes it wearable. You do not need to put anything inside. But if you want to, there is room for a drop of oil or a tiny note.
Care
Avoid dropping — the hinge is small and can loosen with impact. Keep away from chemicals. Wipe with a soft cloth. If you add essential oil, use only one drop and let it dry before closing the lid.
