How to Measure Your Wrist
- 1 Wrap a flexible measuring tape or a strip of paper around your wrist, just below the wrist bone where you would normally wear a bracelet.
- 2 Mark the point where the tape or paper overlaps. Make sure it's snug but not tight — you should be able to fit one finger underneath.
- 3 If using paper, lay it flat and measure the length with a ruler. This is your wrist circumference.
- 4 Match your measurement to the size chart above. For a looser fit, add 0.5 – 1 cm to your wrist measurement.
Use a piece of string or strip of paper. Wrap it around your wrist, mark the overlap, then measure the length against a ruler.

How to Choose Your Ring Size
- If your finger circumference is around 2.17" (55 mm), we recommend selecting a ring with an inner diameter of 0.67" (17 mm).
- If your circumference is 2.20–2.24" (56–57 mm), choose a diameter of 0.71" (18 mm).
- For the most accurate measurement, visit a local jeweler to have your ring size professionally measured.
- If your knuckle is noticeably wider than the base of your finger, measure at the widest point of your knuckle. This ensures the ring can slide over comfortably while still fitting well when worn.
Measure your finger at the end of the day when fingers are at their largest. Avoid measuring when your hands are cold or swollen. If you're between two sizes, choose the larger one.

Black rosewood — 黑花梨 in Chinese — is a dense tropical hardwood from Southeast Asia. It runs so dark it can read as ebony at first glance, but under direct light the grain shows through: interlocking brown-black lines that shift slightly depending on how the bead was cut. The color does not come from dye. It is the wood itself.
Round, Barrel, or Double-Wrap — What the Variants Actually Are
The standard round beads (6mm, 8mm, 10mm) are the classic mala form — uniform spheres strung 108 in sequence. Some variants add spacer beads between every set of 27, which breaks the bracelet visually into quarters — a practical feature for counting mantras in groups. The barrel-cut beads (桶珠) are cylindrical rather than spherical, which gives a heavier, more architectural look on the wrist. The apple-cut beads (苹果珠直切) are spherical but sliced differently — flatter at the poles, with a more compact profile.
The double-wrap styles use smaller 6mm beads and wind twice around the wrist, making a layered bracelet. Some come with accent charms: a gold tassel and ring accent, a lotus tassel with sandalwood six-syllable mantra beads, or a small pendant charm. These are fuller-looking pieces — less meditation tool, more everyday jewelry.
Why Rosewood Darkens with Use
Natural oils from regular handling work into the surface over time. The wood is already dark, but it deepens further — practitioners sometimes describe this as the bracelet "coming alive." It is not a flaw. It is how the material responds to contact.

Avoid soaking and prolonged water exposure. Remove before swimming. Natural darkening with handling is normal and expected. Wipe with a soft dry cloth as needed.
