Vajra Knot Red String Bracelet — Handwoven with Silver Clasp, Multiple Sizes
The 金刚结 — the vajra knot — comes from Tibetan and Chinese Buddhist practice. The word vajra means diamond or thunderbolt in Sanskrit: something indestructible. The knot is woven into prayer cords and worn by practitioners as a form of protection. It is not decorative stitching. The knot has a specific structure that locks on itself — it does not slip, and it does not loosen over time. Monks tie them into cords that people wear through difficult periods. The tradition is old, and the knot has not changed.
Alloy-Silver Clasp vs. 925 Silver Clasp — What Actually Differs
This bracelet comes in two clasp versions. The alloy option uses a silver-plated metal clasp — lightweight, with a clean finish. The 925 silver option uses a clasp made from sterling silver (92.5% pure silver). Sterling silver is harder and more resistant to tarnish than plated alloy. It also develops a patina over years rather than flaking. If you plan to wear this daily for a long time, the sterling option holds up better. The cord and knot are identical in both versions. Five sizes are available — 15cm through 19cm — to get the fit right rather than adjusting a sliding knot every day.
Care: Avoid soaking the cord. The 925 silver clasp can be polished with a silver cloth to remove tarnish. Alloy clasp — wipe dry after contact with sweat. Remove before swimming or bathing.
