Red Rope Lucky Bracelet — Handwoven Flat Knot & Vajra Knot Cord for Luck & Protection
The red string bracelet is one of the oldest forms of wearable protection across multiple cultures simultaneously. China, Tibet, India, the Middle East — the red cord appears in all of them, in different forms, with the same underlying idea: red carries a protective energy that other colors do not. This bracelet works with that tradition in its most direct form.
Flat Knot vs. Vajra Knot
The flat knot is a simple repeating square knot that runs along the length of the bracelet. It is the classic form — clean, tight, close to the wrist. The vajra knot is a different pattern, named for the thunderbolt scepter in Buddhist iconography. The vajra represents indestructibility — diamond-hard, cutting through illusion. In practice, the flat knot lays flatter against the skin. The vajra knot has more texture and bulk. Both are adjustable. Both use the same red cord.
Red in Chinese and Tibetan Tradition
In Chinese folk practice, red is the color worn during one's zodiac year — the year thought to bring disruption and risk. In Tibetan practice, red corresponds to life force and the energy associated with the Buddha Amitabha. These are two separate traditions converging on the same object.
Care
Avoid prolonged soaking. The cord will darken naturally with wear. Remove before swimming.

• Left hand: for protection, healing, or attracting abundance
• Right hand: for releasing or giving energy
