Tibetan Thangka Deity Pendant — Hand-Painted Tsa-Tsa Amulet, Wealth & Protection Figures
These hand-painted tsa-tsa pendants come from the same tradition as Tibetan shrine objects — small clay tablets bearing deity images, painted by hand, worn as personal amulets. This set spans a wider range of figures than the standard guardian deity series, including wealth deities, protectors, and figures from both Buddhist and folk Tibetan traditions.
What a Tsa-Tsa Actually Is
Tsa-tsas are small devotional objects made from clay or resin, pressed into molds and then painted or gilded. The tradition goes back over a thousand years in Tibet, where they were placed in shrines, rock crevices, and stupas as offerings. A painted tsa-tsa pendant takes that same form and makes it wearable. The image on the front is not decorative — it is the full iconographic representation of the deity, painted according to established tradition. The colors, hand positions, and attributes each mean something specific.
These are not mass-printed images under resin. The painting is done directly on the surface, which is why the finish has texture and variation. Under close inspection, you can see the brushwork.
The Figures in This Set
Most of the figures here are standard Tibetan Buddhist deities — Avalokitesvara, Green Tara, Manjushri, Vairocana, and others from the guardian deity tradition. This set also includes Yellow Jambhala, the wealth deity long associated with abundance in Tibetan practice, and Zajiram (扎基拉姆), a Tibetan protector goddess whose shrine in Lhasa draws pilgrims specifically seeking her help with business and finances. Also included are Wuye (五爷), a dragon king figure venerated in both Tibetan and Chinese folk traditions for wealth and rain, and Huxian (狐仙), a fox spirit figure from Chinese folk belief.
The range here is intentional. Some buyers come for their birth year guardian. Others come for a specific intention — wealth, protection, clarity. The set covers both.
Care
Keep away from water and prolonged moisture. The painted surface can be damaged by perfume or oils — avoid direct contact. Wipe gently with a dry soft cloth if needed.

• Left hand: for protection, healing, or attracting abundance
• Right hand: for releasing or giving energy
