Garnet & Hetian Jade Bracelet — Lucky Charm Bead Bracelet for Wealth & Protection
Deep wine-red garnet has been worn as a talisman for a long time. Traders carried it. Soldiers kept it. The color itself, that dark, steady red, was the reason. It does not fade.
Each bracelet in this collection pairs natural garnet beads with a hand-selected accent piece — Hetian jade gourd, translucent jade, strawberry quartz with a Pixiu charm, or a gourd-and-jade combination. The pairing is intentional. Garnet is said to carry protective energy; the accent pieces each carry their own tradition.
The Hetian Jade Gourd — What That Shape Is About
The gourd (葫芦, húlu) is one of the oldest good-luck forms in Chinese folk tradition. Its shape — narrow top, wide base — is said to hold and store good fortune rather than letting it spill out. Practitioners associate it with accumulating wealth and blocking misfortune from entering. Hetian jade is one of the most prized jade varieties, valued for its dense, waxy texture and warm tone. Together they are a compact version of an old idea: keep what is good, close off what is not.
The Pixiu variant adds a different layer. Pixiu is a mythological creature long associated with drawing wealth inward — it has a mouth but, in the tradition, no exit. The strawberry quartz beads around it are a softer complement, associated in folk belief with warmth and emotional steadiness.
Garnet's Particular Red — Why It Is Not Just Color
Not all reds are alike. Garnet's red sits deeper than coral, darker than ruby in most lights. In Chinese folk tradition, deep red stones are long associated with vitality and protection from negative energy. In the West, garnet was historically worn by travelers — the belief being that it kept the wearer safe on the road. Neither tradition is identical, but they agree on something: this particular red carries weight. Practitioners today often choose it when they want a stone that feels grounding rather than decorative.
Care
Avoid prolonged contact with water, perfume, or cleaning products. Wipe garnet beads with a soft, dry cloth. The jade accent is harder but should also be kept away from impact and chemicals. Elastic cord may darken naturally over time — remove before swimming.

• Left hand: for protection, healing, or attracting abundance
• Right hand: for releasing or giving energy
