How to Measure Your Wrist
- 1 Wrap a flexible measuring tape or a strip of paper around your wrist, just below the wrist bone where you would normally wear a bracelet.
- 2 Mark the point where the tape or paper overlaps. Make sure it's snug but not tight — you should be able to fit one finger underneath.
- 3 If using paper, lay it flat and measure the length with a ruler. This is your wrist circumference.
- 4 Match your measurement to the size chart above. For a looser fit, add 0.5 – 1 cm to your wrist measurement.
Use a piece of string or strip of paper. Wrap it around your wrist, mark the overlap, then measure the length against a ruler.

How to Choose Your Ring Size
- If your finger circumference is around 2.17" (55 mm), we recommend selecting a ring with an inner diameter of 0.67" (17 mm).
- If your circumference is 2.20–2.24" (56–57 mm), choose a diameter of 0.71" (18 mm).
- For the most accurate measurement, visit a local jeweler to have your ring size professionally measured.
- If your knuckle is noticeably wider than the base of your finger, measure at the widest point of your knuckle. This ensures the ring can slide over comfortably while still fitting well when worn.
Measure your finger at the end of the day when fingers are at their largest. Avoid measuring when your hands are cold or swollen. If you're between two sizes, choose the larger one.

Bodhi seeds come from the ficus religiosa — the fig tree under which, by tradition, the Buddha attained enlightenment. The name has carried weight in Buddhist practice for centuries. Bodhi root beads (菩提根) come from the roots of related trees in the same family, shaped into beads that are lighter and more varied in surface than stone, with a natural cream-to-ivory tone and faint surface texture that changes as the bead is handled over time.
What Makes Bodhi Root Different from Stone or Wood
Bodhi root is lighter than most stone malas — noticeable when wearing 108 beads for an extended session. The surface is slightly porous, which means it patinas faster than wood with regular handling. Long-term, practitioners report the beads shifting to a warm honey tone with daily use. The texture is also distinctive: natural surface irregularities and grain patterns mean no two beads are identical. This version is a 多宝菩提 style — a mixed or "many-treasure" bodhi variety, which tends to show more varied surface patterning.
108 Beads and What the Count Is For
108 is the traditional mala count across Buddhist and Hindu traditions. In practice, it gives a complete cycle for mantra recitation — one bead per repetition, ending where you started. Some practitioners use it simply as a tactile anchor during seated meditation, moving through the beads without counting anything at all. Both uses are common. The bead itself does not change what you do with it.
